Holistic and Organic Wellness Fair returns to Wixom!
Wixom’s second annual Holistic and Organic Wellness (HOW) Fair is planned for Sunday, May 21st from 9a until 4pm. It is an initiative of Verdurous Me Interactive Wellness Center partnered with the Healthy Traditions Network – founder of the Growing Connections Conference and Organic Harvest Festival. This is a community event for people to come together to learn about the benefits of holistic care and organic nutrition. Local exhibitors will be coming together to share about natural wellness practices, services and products available in our local areas. They are being brought together to share HOW to improve the health and lifestyles of our residents, of all ages. Children are welcome.
There are many exciting events planned at the HOW Fair, including sound therapy and relaxation demonstrations, expert educational workshops on organic food preparations and more.
SUNDAY, MAY 21st 9AM – 4PM
9:00 to 10:00 AM – The Microbial Overload by Dr. Richard Ng from Center for Holistic Medicine
10:15 to 11:15 AM – Sugar, Super Foods & Weight Loss by Leesa Hansknecht, MA, LWMC from Verdurous Me Wellness Center
11:30 to 12:30 PM – Make & Take: Fermentation by Susan Randall, Healthy Eating Specialist from the Healthy Traditions Network
12:30 to 1:15 PM – LUNCH BREAK: Enjoy our organic food vendors & Street Vybe Dance Fitness with August Spree
1:15 to 2:15 PM – Your Health, Your Privacy, Your Environment by Linda Kurtz of Smart Meter Education Network
2:15 to 3:15 PM – Genetically Modified Food: Taking Every Bite Seriously by Laketa McCauley, member of the Institute for Responsible Technology
